Who We Are
Starneel Productions LLC, Round Rock, Texas, United States. Contact starneel.productions@gmail.com. This policy covers Starfall Survivors Duo (the "Game"), which is available on Android and Apple devices. A Mac version is expected soon after App Store review and a Steam version is planned, with no date yet. This policy will be updated if those versions handle data differently.
What the Game Collects
The Game does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or other contact details and has no username or password of its own. To save progress it uses:
- An anonymous player ID created automatically by Unity Authentication the first time the Game goes online.
- Your game progress (starshards, upgrades, unlocks, owned cosmetics and settings), which is stored on your device.
- If you sign in to Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (Apple), your Google Play Games or Game Center player ID, linked to the anonymous ID so progress can come back after a reinstall or on another device.
We do not receive your Google or Apple account email or password.
Cloud Save
Progress is backed up to Unity Cloud Save under your anonymous player ID so it can be restored after a reinstall or on another device signed in to the same Google Play Games or Game Center account. You can turn the backup off in the Game (Progress & Account). Progress is sent over encrypted connections.
Online Play, Friends and Leaderboards
When you play online co-op, Unity Relay passes game traffic between players, and Unity processes your IP address for the length of the session. Friends uses Unity Friends and Unity Cloud Save. Your player name is never typed. It is built from two words and a number taken from curated word lists, plus a tag like #1234 added by Unity so players who share a name can be told apart. The Game picks a starter name for you and you can choose another combination from the same lists. The same generated name is your friend code and is the name shown on the weekly Endless Sky and Endless Tower leaderboards, which store your score with that name and not your account name. Friends features can share a small snapshot of your Homestead cottage that other players who know your player ID can read, and can send gifts and visits between friends.
Local Wi-Fi co-op shares your device name and local network address with devices on that same network so the other player can find you. Parent Mode (a PIN set in the Game) can turn off Friends and gifts, pings, sharing photos, online co-op, leaderboards, crash reports, news and more.
Photo Mode
The Game can save a screenshot to your device's photo gallery or photo library, and can open your device's share sheet, only when you choose. We do not receive the picture.
News
The Observatory news button downloads a small public file from starneelproductions.com. It sends nothing about you (no ID, no language, no custom data) beyond what any web request normally includes, such as your IP address.
Crash Reports
If the Game breaks it can send a crash report through Unity Cloud Diagnostics. It contains the app version, phone model, system version, the technical details of the error, a random install ID that is not linked to you, the name of the screen you were on and the last lines of the game log with personal details removed. We never add names, codes or your save. This is on by default. You can turn it off in Help and Contact (Send crash reports), and Parent Mode can turn it off.
Ads (Google AdMob)
Watching a rewarded ad is always your choice (for example to double starshards or claim a daily gift). To serve and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, general device information, approximate location (typically derived from IP address) and ad interaction data. We do not receive your advertising identifier ourselves. Where required by law (for example the EEA, UK and Switzerland), the Game shows Google's consent form before personalized ads and you can change your choice later with the "Privacy choices" button in the Shop. Players who buy Remove Ads never see ads.
Purchases
In-app purchases go through Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store. Google or Apple processes the payment and we never receive your payment card details. We only learn whether a purchase is owned so the Game can unlock it. Restore purchases is in the Shop.

We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs of our own, and we do not sell your information.
Keeping and Deleting Your Data
Your cloud backup is kept until you delete it. In the Game open Progress & Account and choose "Delete account + cloud data" (it asks twice). This deletes your Unity player account and cloud save and resets progress on that device. Purchases stay with your store account and can be restored. You can also ask us by email at starneel.productions@gmail.com. Uninstalling the Game removes the copy on your device but not the cloud backup. Crash reports are held by Unity under its own retention rules.
Note: the web form at /delete-account is for Starlog and StarStudio Prime only. For this Game use the in-Game option or email.
Children
Starfall Survivors Duo is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Game has a Parent Mode that lets a grown-up switch off social and online features, require a PIN before purchases and set play-time reminders. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will help remove it.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information or to object to certain processing. Contact us to use them.
